Is There a Way To Get the Album Artist?

hi i need to know if there is a way that i can get the album artist?

for example i have a cd from various artists and each song has a different artist but the album artist is set to "Various Artist" Is there anyway to retrieve the "Various Artist" instead of the song artist?

I don't believe there is an actual "Album Artist" in the ID3 spec. However, several players, including WinAmp, are using the "Band" frame and referring to it as "Album Artists". Try that one.
